Learning to play an instrument and to make music with others has a significant impact on human development. From improving social and academic skills, to feeling joy, building confidence, nurturing creativity and relieving stress, the benefits of making music are limitless. Unfortunately, music programs are routinely undervalued.

Studies prove that youth who study a musical instrument find more happiness in their lives, are more likely to excel in all other studies, have enhanced critical thinking skills, and pursue higher education.

Schools with music programs have a much higher graduation rate. Unfortunately, music education programs are constantly in danger of being cut, and thereby diminishing student participation.

​

The DW Music Foundation is 501c3 nonprofit organization, under the umbrella of DW Drums. We provide gifts of instruments and grants to help ensure that schools, educators, music education programs, and youth, have resources they need to keep enjoy the powerful benefits of music making.

Each quarter DW Music Foundation awards grants. To apply for a grant, send us an email about your need, we will evaluate your request and be in touch with our decision.
